Join us for a fun-filled day at Scorpion Anchorage on Santa Cruz Island! We’ll leave Ventura Harbor on an Island Packer boat and head to Santa Cruz Island. Upon arrival, we’ll get fitted with wetsuits and gear, then take a 1-2 hour guided kayak tour exploring sea caves around Scorpion Anchorage. Volcanic by origin, these are some of the most dramatic sea caves on the planet! After kayaking we’ll have a delicious picnic lunch. You’ll have time for a short hike or some sunbathing. Then, we will ferry back to Ventura Harbor.
If kayaking’s not your thing, you can still come along! When the boat docks at Scorpion Anchorage, you can sunbathe or hike, and join the rest of the group for lunch. The scenery is beautiful and well worth the trip! Come on out and experience the crystal clear water. Observe sea lions, marine birds, and all kinds of wildlife in their natural settings.
Don’t miss this opportunity to socialize with other club members! See whales and/or dolphins while on the boat or on the island! See wildlife! Beautiful views! Fascinating sea caves! Gorgeous coastline!
This trip has two choices:
$240 — covers the cost of round-trip ferry ride, wetsuits, life jackets, kayaks, 1-2 hour guided kayak tour, guide gratuity, and lunch.
$79 — covers the cost of round-trip ferry ride and lunch.
Tickets go on sale at the June 16th CSSC meeting. Or you can mail a check made out to Conejo Ski & Sports Club to Margaret Barnett at 3637 Dry Creek Ln., Oxnard, CA 93036. Checks must be received by August 18 th.
