Thousand Oaks
We meet on the first and third Tuesday of the month at the Best Western Hotel in Thousand Oaks.
Meetings are open to the public and are free to attend. Additionally, any first-time guest will receive raffle tickets for the evening’s cash drawing. (Check in at the Membership Desk at the door.)
The Pizza Cookery is now serving drinks and food in the meeting room from their special menu with happy hour prices. Happy hour and food start in the meeting room at 6:00, and the meeting begins at 7:30. (Please tip our bartender 20%. She works really hard to take care of us.)
Janie is taking sign-ups for the
Vietnam trip on March 25, 2027. Tonight is the final sign-up to determine if there will be a lottery. Please turn in your paperwork by 7 pm on September 1st. If there are more than 18, there will be a lottery. Contact Janie for more information at

We are continuing to take sign-ups for
Mammoth Ski Trips. If you are thinking of going to Mammoth, sign up early to make sure you get your preferred spot. We have bedrooms and loft beds available. The January trip is from the 7th to the 10th (Thursday to Sunday), the February Trip is 15th through 18th (Monday through Thursday), and the March trip is 18th to 21st (Thursday through Sunday). The trip includes a bus ride to and from Mammoth, a bed in a shared condo, daily trips to the mountain, and Saturday night dinner.

We are taking sign-ups for the
Lake Party at Lake Casitas. 100 people have already signed up! This is a very fun party; sign up soon. It’s on Saturday, September 12th. There will be great food, including a delicious grilled lunch of salmon and chicken, corn on the cob, baked potatoes, great side dishes, and dessert. The party starts at 10:30, but the gates open at 8 am. Come early to bike ride or rent a kayak. Later, play cornhole, bocce ball, or just hang out with your friends overlooking the beautiful full lake. (No swimming). Bring a beach chair, sunscreen, and beach umbrellas. BYOB. Optional camping at Lake Casitas. Several Conejo Ski & Sports Club members will be camping Friday through Sunday at Lake Casitas in the Bass area near the Lake Party Pavilion. Julianne is taking sign-ups for
Campland on the Bay in San Diego, September 25th to 27th. Space is limited. It’s Jimmy Buffett weekend, and you will be camping with several Parrot Heads. There is camping accommodation for all: tents, trailers, and RVs. A full breakfast is included both mornings, potluck Saturday Night, BYOB. You can ride bikes (helmets are mandatory), swim in the pools, visit the ice cream parlor, dance to live bands, play cornhole, etc. Well-behaved pets are welcome. Sign up tomorrow.
