The best photos capture real moments: smiling faces, shared laughter, and people having fun—whether it’s in the snow, on the beach, out on a hike, or gathered around a campfire.
Think small groups. Photos of one, two, or three people are the most visually appealing. (Four or more tends to get crowded—this is a classic composition rule.)
Take multiples. Snap several shots of the same group—someone will inevitably blink or look away at the wrong moment.
Embrace group selfies. They’re usually spontaneous, fun, and full of personality.
Use large group shots sparingly. They’re great for memories and scrapbooks, but often less compelling visually for a website.
